FALSE AND UNTRUE STATEMENTS

A consumer’s rights and remedies for untrue statements made by one or more parties to a contract, before the contract was concluded, depends on the nature of the untrue statement. Basically a false statement may be classified into one of two categories.

1. A “trader’s puff”.

2. A statement beyond a “traders puff” which is Misrepresentation and Breach of Contract
